The Wall Street Journal is a trusted news source for students. The Journal's impartial reporting of current affairs is critical to the education process. It is also well-known for its accuracy. Its student readership program is an excellent way to engage students with current events. Students can also subscribe to respected news sources at a very affordable price.

Student news readership program

The Wall Street Journal student news readership program targets young people who are interested reading and reporting on the newspaper's articles. The newspaper's sister publications include Barron's, Far Eastern Economic Review, and SmartMoney. Students can sign up for a 1-year subscription which costs $15 per annum.

The Student Affairs budget sponsored the program which gives students digital subscriptions of the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and other publications. The new subscription program also includes videos and podcasts. The Commonwealth campuses are now included in the new subscription program. The printed newspaper will remain available for the current academic year. However, eventually it will go digital.

UT Permian Basin membership

Alumni and students at UT Permian Basin are eligible to take advantage of a Wall Street Journal member-only membership. This subscription will be given to students upon setting up their UTPB emails. The subscription is made possible through the College of Business and the J. Conrad Dungan Library.


The UT Permian Basin's men's tennis team features 15 players as well as a head coach. Although the team makes a net profit of $30,581 per year, it is important to remember that not all sports are money-losers. The salary of the head coach for the men's basketball team is $67780, and that of the head coach for women's soccer team is $46,867.

UT Permian Basin subscription

UT Permian Basin students will soon be able to take advantage of a subscription to the Wall Street Journal for students. They will be able access the magazine once they have created their UTPB email accounts. The College of Business is providing the subscription.

The conference will include speakers from the industry such as Mitch Mamoulides who is the Midland and Delaware Basin Area Manager for Chevron, Chuck Yates, managing Director of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors LP and Jefferson G. Parker who is managing director at IberiaBank Corp. John Fund, an editor of Wall Street Journal, will also speak at the conference. Other speakers include Travis Stice, president of Diamondback Energy; Kyle M. Hammond, the CEO of FireWheel Energy; Bryan Sheffield, Parsley Energy; and Stan Weiner, director of NGL analytics at AES Water Solutions.

UT Permian Basin academic partnership program with the Wall Street Journal

The UT Permian Basin and the Wall Street Journal have announced their partnership. Students at UTPB will be able to subscribe to the Wall Street Journal exclusively once they have received their UTPB email address. This partnership is made possible by the College of Business & the J. Conrad Dungan Library.

The partnership will benefit students, nurses, and patients. Nursing students will also be able learn advanced techniques and the latest medical equipment thanks to this partnership. Students will have the opportunity to get real-world experience from two of the world's most respected healthcare providers.
